At the end of this course, you’ll be able to:
- Understand how coaching skills help managers increase employee engagement and productivity, especially amongst Millennials and Gen Z employees
- Know the difference between coaching and other means of developing and leading talent—such as teaching, mentoring, managing and counseling; identify appropriate situations for each
- Use three essential coaching skills (holding space, active listening and creative questioning) as you engage in everyday leadership conversations
- Balance providing empathy and support as a coach, while challenging and holding teams accountable to achieve greater results
- Leverage proven and structured coaching models like GROW to effectively coach employees in one-on-one settings
- Ensure employees take ownership of their results and personal development, in line with pre-agreed key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Help teams identify strengths and areas for improvement, and develop a personalized coaching plan to help them reach their full potential

Course Journey
Assessment & Evaluation
Participants will have a 2-day window after their course, to complete the evaluation and assessment. They must complete the evaluation and successfully pass the assessment to be eligible for their course certificate. The course evaluation and assessment will be conducted online.
To be eligible for funding, participants are required to attain a minimum 75% attendance and pass the course assessment. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more details.

Facilitator Bio
Michelle Ong
Michelle is an accredited faculty of Korn Ferry. She is a certified professional coach, facilitator and has owned her own practice for close to 20 years. Michelle’s continuing mission has always been to bring executives and managers to a place of engagement – of synergy and mutual fulfillment – with the organization. This is one of the most effective ways of sustaining and driving performance: establishing mutuality and alignment between the individual executive and his/her organization.
In her approach to coaching and facilitation she uses stems from the theories, models and practices of accelerated learning techniques with strong accents of experiential learning and application formats. The style she embraces in coaching and facilitation is interactive, participative and integrated in learning approach. Over the years, Michelle has had the opportunity to impact and empower participants from various industries namely, civil service, healthcare, Singapore military, pharmaceutical, energy, mineral and raw materials, banking, FMCG, media, international trade, education and more.
